We enjoyed our one night stay in this campground despite the huffing and puffing of the reception staff when my wife made it clear she could not speak French. My wife huffed and puffed back and once they got over the language difficulties we got a very nice grassy site with a view over the water. There was an accordion festival on in nearby Montmagny so we were entertained by accordion music during the day and into the evening.
This campground is in a fabulous location overlooking Perce Rock and Bonaventure Island. Just about every site has a view over the water. We could see whales and dolphins from our campsite. Perce has lots of restaurants and the campground is within walking distance. We would recommend taking a tour boat over to Bonaventure Island to see the 200,000 or so Gannets nesting there. Our plan was to stay one night but we ended up staying four.
We really enjoyed our stay at this campground even though it was only for one night. The campground owner was very pleasant and managed to get us a beautiful site overlooking the lake. Other campers next to us were very friendly which always helps. One of the nicest campgrounds we stayed in during our three months of traveling through New York, Vermont and eastern Canada.
We selected this site on the internet using the Reserve America web site. The web site indicated that the site we chose would take a 35ft motorhome. We were very disappointed with the site. Just enough room for the motorhome and not much room for anything else. And we were next to a swamp and almost living on top of our neighbors - who had two tents and lots of visitors. We booked for three nights but stayed only one. We tried to get another site but the campground was full and the campground staff were not very interested. We will not be staying in this campground again. We stayed in site 100.
We stayed here for two nights in our motorhome on our way through to Ottawa. The grounds are very well maintained and the owners make sure campers obey the quiet times. We cannot vouch for the showers or rest rooms as we did not use them. The Wi-Fi access was brilliant in contrast to many campgrounds with Wi-Fi where the signal is patchy.
